How often should we brush our teeth?
Brushing our teeth is one of the mindless activities we do every day. We usually don’t take time to do it and sometimes we do it mindlessly.
The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends brushing your teeth at least twice a day. Most likely, you can give your mouth a brief scrub before going to work and a few minutes before going to bed. However, to take advantage of the full benefits of your oral hygiene routine, you should not simply brush your teeth twice a day. You need to do it the way your dentist does, paying attention to the minute details, from your teeth, to your tongue, to gums.
According to the ADA, aside from brushing your teeth, you should also consider flossing and using a non-alcoholic mouthwash to clean different areas in your mouth that your brush cannot reach. Drinking plenty of water and eating a balanced diet is also a key to having better oral and overall health.
